DeRollo Returns To Stampede

Utica NY native Rocco DeRollo will be back in uniform for the Stampede this season.  DeRollo the 5’9″ 160lb 20 year old spent last season with the Stampede playing in all 44 games compiling 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points.  “We are very excited to have Rocco back with us this season, he is a very good player that sees the ice well.” states coach Mike Beavis.  DeRollo played both offence and defense for the Stampede last season and was able to transition between the two positions with ease.  “Roccco has D-lll skills and vision to move to the next level but will need to increase his quickness and overall speed to make the jump after this season.  He is one of the smarter players I have worked with in the past several years on the ice.”  added Beavis

DeRollo will join a few new faces and a handful of returning players this season with the Stampede when they take to the ice on August 29th to kick off the 2016-2017 season.  The Stampede will begin training camp at Morrisville State College at noon on August 29th which will run through Friday September 2nd.  The team will then begin their regular season practice schedule and prepare for the regular season.  The Stampede will also host The Lewiston Auburn Fighting Spirit in a two game pre season match up on September 10th and 11th at “The Ice-Plex” on the campus of Morrisville State College.
