Hart Back For Third Season To Lead Stamp As Captain

Rich Hart returns for his third season with the Stampede, this time as one of the teams captains. Hart, the Liverpool, NY. native will lead this seasons impressive defensive corps for the Stamp. The 6’2″ 210 Hart is a solid defenseman that has an offensive side to him. Last season Hart played in all 47 games with the stampede putting up 9 goals and 20 assists for 29 points and earned himself a spot in the NA3HL “Top Prospects” showcase.

“Richie is a hard working guy with a huge upside. As a 1998 birth year player he is very impressive both on the back side and can turn on the offense.” States Stampede assistant Coach Kyle Althen. The Stampede will look to Hart as both a leader and as a top contributor this season. “Rich has what it takes to play at the college level but we are still working on a few things this season. His size will get him the looks but his hockey sense and patience should secure him a spot on a college team.” added coach Mike Beavis. Morrisville State College could also be a home in the future for Hart as he has been followed the past couple of seasons by Coach Kevin Krogol and his staff. “Morrisville could be a great fit for Rich, he has interest in the school and could provide size and skill to the Mustangs defense.” added Althen.

The Stampede open up the 2017-2018 season this weekend VS the North East Generals. Be sure to catch the action at the Anthony J. Crisafulli Ice Arena “The Fort” in Oswego, NY. or tune in to Hockeytv.com to catch all the action. Saturday, puck drops at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 1:00 PM.
