Lamotte-Stokes joins Stamp

Malik Lamotte-Stokes from Westminster, CA. Will be a big part of the Stampede this season.  Lamotte-Stokes the 5’11” 215 lb forward will be entering his rookie season with the Stampede.  “Malik is a very strong kid that gets into the gritty areas of the ice and has the ability to bury loose pucks.  He is a very hard working guy that has a very outgoing personality.” states coach Beavis  Lamotte-Stokes could be one of the players that can help the Stampede capitalize on the area around the net, a spot that last years team struggled a bit with during the season.

“Malik is a big strong player who has a good shot and very soft hands around the net”. states assistant coach Kyle Althen .  “I wached him in tryouts and we were able to see him play at the America’s Showcase in Pittsburgh earlier this spring.  He should do well with his work ethic and what he brings to the table.”  added Althen. Lamotte-Stokes played last season with the California Wave AA U-18 program.

The Stampede are featuring stories over the next several days to introduce the public to new players as well as re-introduce everyone to their returning players as they gear up for the 2016-2017 season in the NA3HL.  The Stampede will open training camp on Monday August 29th and begin pre-season on September 9th and 10th.  The Stampede will open on the road for the NA3HL regular season VS the Maine Wild on September 17th and 18th in Biddeford, ME.
