The Syracuse Stampede's offense had a big night, peppering the Skylands Kings with 27 shots throughout the game. The Syracuse Stampede took the lead early in the second on a goal from Nick Mandia. Oscar Lande delivered for his team with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Tristan Ayoubi contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Lionel Landry did his part, adding 2 goals and Steven Ford chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first, Ford opened the scoring for Skylands with a goal at 4:18 with helpers from his teammates Garrigan and Thomas. Derollo quickly followed with a goal at 5:46 with helpers from Hart and Ayoubi. Allen put in a goal at 11:19 with assists from Thiara and Mayne. Lande scored a goal at 13:55 with a helper from Soden.
In the second, Landry answered for the Kings with a goal at 0:46 with assists from his linemates, Garrigan and Ford. Mandia quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:42 with helpers from his linemates, Lowe and Watterson.
In the third period, Landry answered for Skylands with a goal at 2:12 with assists from Vanderhoff and Sivek. Lande answered for the Stampede with a goal at 5:27 with helpers from Mayne and Soden. Ayoubi deposited a goal at 7:56 with assists from his linemates, Allen and Thiara. Sanborn netted a goal at 10:15 with helpers from his linemates, Lande and Soden.
Syracuse’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Scheide’s big night as he stopped 30 of the 33 shots he faced. On the other hand, Scheide’s counterpart, Yttereng, and Skylands’ defense was beaten a few times stopping only 14 of 21 shots.
